Turning Pain Into Purpose
Founded in memory of Miguel “Myke” Angel Medina, Myke’s Purpose is a nonprofit rooted in love, loss, and the fight to end overdose. Through education, outreach, and advocacy, we are breaking the silence and bringing healing to our community.
About us
Our Story
In 2016, we lost Myke — a son, brother, uncle, and friend — to an accidental overdose. From that heartbreak, Myke’s Purpose was born. Our founder, Marina Medina, chose to turn pain into purpose, launching a mission to raise awareness, prevent overdose deaths, and support families walking the same painful road.
Our Mission
To educate, empower, and equip our community with life-saving resources and compassion in the fight against overdose and addiction.
Our Vision
A world where no family loses a loved one to overdose — and where every life is treated with dignity, hope, and purpose.
